Front Cylinder FLOODING!! :(

Hello all! So i have found the reason why my front cylinder is running so rich!! I took my K/N pod of my front cylinder carb and noticed that while at idle there are 3 small venturis where the air goes into the carb and the middle one is leaking horribly into the air flow, also the area where the needle sits is leaking fuel too!! I have included a pic of my visual inspection..can anyone tell me why my carb is flooding from those leaking areas? The rear carb does not do this and runs good the front is the only one having the flooding issue and leaks in that area..

I also would like to know what my jet size should be for California "sea level", my mods are K/N Pods, Vance and Hines Dual Exhaust, and all emssions removed air system blocked as well.. Currently I have 1 shim on both carbs needles, 142 main jets, 40 pilot jets...Is my jet sizing off for my modifications and sea level atmospheric pressure?

I run 40/142/2 shims @ CA sea level, runs fine (when my other issues aren't messing with it hahah)

Would you happen to know why my carbs is leaking fuel feom that middle hole, and why is fuel leaking at the diaghrams needle in the middle?

Not sure as I don't know the carbs that well. Could be a sticky float?

Check the vacuum line off the front carb, the petcock can leak gas into the vac line, which pulls the gas into that carb. Inside of the line should be dry after you've run the engine and shut down.


Otherwise, it sounds like the carb is overfilling, due to stuck float or float set too high.

Sounds like sticky float syndrome. But don't worry,Wolfie taught us how to blow properly.look up Wolfie's blowback method.it's been made sticky,uh,er, made a sticky in the carb section.if that don't work you might be playing with your carbutriators (sic)yes, very.

Ok ill check everything everyone mentioned..however i do have a new petcock already on the bike so im hoping its not petcock related..ill do the float test tonight..
