Need help, new rider bike stalled

Was riding today and bike seemed fine, then all the sudden was stuttering like running out of gas. Had half tank and only 66 miles on this tank. Then it bogged down real bad like it wasn't getting gas before it stalled. messed with the petcock a few times and got it to start once, but soon as in gear stalled again and hasn't turned over since. We removed the petcock and drained the gas looking for stopage in lines which have found none. I am at a loss and I am still learning about bikes. Can anyone give me insight as to what to try next? Friend suggested stuck floater? Any help would be amazing! Thanks in advance!!!

Something similar was happening to mine. It would stall out after riding for some time, then if I let it sit, it would start back up eventually. Look up phantom out of gas syndrome, also if you haven't cleaned the carbs, try running some seafoam through it if you can get it running again. Run a heavy mix (I did half a can with a full new tank of gas). Cleaned mine right up and have not had the issue since.
