IN TANK SCREEN FILTERS

Does anyone know of a source to get replacements for the little plastic screen tube filters that are mounted on the top of the tank petcock?
I have looked at dozens of rebuilt kits but none had replacements for those. My pet cock is fine now that I cleaned all the varnished old fuel out of it, but the little tubes disintegrated in the process.

To my knowledge you have to replace the entire petcock assembly. The screens are not a separate part. At least when I discovered mine on my '99 were destroyed that's what I found out.

I suppose you could put inline fuel filters on the fuel lines, but if they don't flow enough you could end up with fuel starvation issues. Your best bet may be to switch to a new petcock, maybe the TW-200 since it's cheaper than stock and not vacuum fed. I just ended up replacing mine with a new stock version.

I just ended up ordering a replacement petcock like you guys mentioned. It just seems pretty odd to me. Why have replacement kits for only half of the parts that may need replaced? They are just cheap little plastic parts yet no one seems to sell replacements.
