it's running but..

Well the bike is running pretty good but when I sit idle it smells like I am close to flooding out the bike. Any suggestions?

Grace and Peace to you!

Look at the spark plugs after it has warmed up and idled for a few minutes and see if they are wet. You could be to rich on the idle/pilot screws.

Maybe. It might foul the plugs and make it hard to give a spark

What rpm do you set the idle? 1000 or just a bit over is a good idle.
