Occasional sputtering and missing

Recently developed an intermittent problem where the bike sputters and hesitates upon acceleration. I found the left side hose coming from the rear of the fuel tank (just in front of the seat) to the canister was worn through. I cut out the section with the hole in it, spliced in a new hose, and thought that took care of it. All was fine for about 120 miles, then the problem reoccurred. I have only noticed this when accelerating under load, at various elevations and temperatures (warm to downright hot). I ran Seafoam through it with no change. Almost as if there is water in the fuel. If the air cut valves were busted I think this would happen all the time, not intermittently. Just has all its 6,000 mile maintenance at a dealership before I bought the bike. Any ideas? BTW see my other post on idle. Bike is not coastered, all stock.

hmm...perhabs, your climate and style of riding requires cooler plugs.

Also might look into your float level.

there's my two cents.
