Petcock leaking

My petcock is leaking. I noticed it the other day but didn't pay too much attention to it as it wasn't much. But this morning I noticed it again. It seems to be coming through the face of the petcock. How can I stop this? Do I need to rebuild it? It isn't dripping that much but it concerns my wife and I need her to be happy on the bike.

Grace and Peace to you!
Richard

You probably just need a new gasket between the petcock and the tank. You can rebuild it or my preference is the pet cock for the TW200.

Actually I keep seeing in my head a picture of tightening the petcock to the tank as I only tightened it with a screwdriver and not a socket. I will try that first then do what you said if that doesn't fix it.

gas is filing up in the vacuum tube from the petcock to the carb vacuum inlet. What could be causing that?

Yes, I had the same issue....rebuild corrected the issue.
I use ClearFuel Line and 3/16 “ Vacuum Line purchased off the reel/roll @ Ace Hardware.
It is very flexible.

I'd go with the tw200. $6 and it simplifies the system.

pulled the tank and the petcock stopped leaking. Does the vacuum tube have anything to do with it not flowing when the petcock is turned off?

Also does anyone know where I can get a 1/4 by 1/4 by 1/4 brass T so I can install the TW200?

Grace and Peace to you!

?#1: No

?#2: any/most Hardware stores sell Brass fittings, or try Home Depot/Lowe's.
