Red face vaccum line

Just wondering guys, I had my tank off my 89 couple of days ago to replace my choke cable, which i didn't get done and found a vaccum t coming off the carbs that is just hanging there where is this supposed to go? I tried just blocking it with my finger bike running and it dies out. possibly to a air box?
Beginning to believe PO was not a bike rider but a bike abuser any help greatly appreciated

The "t" vents both of your carbs. There should be a hose coming off the "unconnected" part of the t, and that should run to your right air box. Just make sure you don't get the hose bottomed out in the box, or you'll have the same result as you did when you plugged it with your finger.
