Question evaporative emissions contro on California models

I want to remove this all together. There are 2 vent housed on the back of my gas tank. I heard that I can plug up one of them then use the other one as my vent house. but which one do I plug up. the red or the green???

I believe it is the one on the left side that you need, and the right side gets plugged, AFAIK (as far as I know) from looking at the micro fiche.

Which ever one it is, you'll want to make longer, so it extends down to the bottom of the bike, just below the engine. The stock one, I believe, is 2 ft long (630mm).
