Idle issue

Got it to sit at 1100 rpms while idling but as soon as I out it in gear the idle drops down and it begins to stall. Then it takes some coaxing to get it started again and the idle is off at that point. Just wants to keep dying. Any ideas? About to rebuild the petcock because I was told by Slim that it most likely has a pinhole in it. Could it be receiving extra gas because of this and messing up the idle?

If you mean you put it in gear with the clutch pulled then it needs to be adjusted. Twist the adjuster out on the handlebar to pull the clutch out further. Maybe 2-3 turns.

I actually just adjusted the clutch cable because the lever was do loose. So I tightened it up. Guess that was wrong?

...might even need new friction plates....or a new clutch cable if its stretched too much....but as the others stated, seems to point at the clutch/adjustment....
