Carb blue dot,green dot

Just noticed a blue dot on one carb and a green dot on the other. Both carbs look identical externally. Do the dots signify front and rear because of internal differences?

Other than Fuel-Air Mixture Screws adjustment commonly being different settings, I believe there are not any front-rear carb internal differences. I would assume the last owner added the color dots for ID purposes when removed off the bike.

Mine had the blue green dots as well, but my initial cleaning of the carbs when I bought the bike wiped the color off of the dots. now their just silver and silver.
