I have not read about doing so, but I'd be interested as to why?

I'd rather see a FI conversion myself! The parts are out there but nobody has wanted to spend the time and money on parts + fabrication + tuning. It would be awesome, though.

the reason is pretty simple.. since i live in iceland and parts for my 86 vn750 arnt really laying around .. and since the currency here is sooo low it is insanely expensive for me to buy this online, and these bikes where not as big as the suzuki's and the hondas so i was just wondering if i could from some other make ..

I believe some Harley's used similar carbs, but for a direct replacement I believe it will be a difficult find.

In theory......if you build a new intake manifold and filter system you could switch to single carb, like one off the 800.
It be alot easier to jet for the bike there being just one carb to deal with. Has been talked about before but I don't remember anyone yet doing it.

Definitely document & post as you go. Many here will be interested in how this works out, and a few may have valuable advise along the way.

Good luck

yeah thats awesome.. they wizard is comming next week so i'm hoping that i will have the first info next weekend at the latest, i'm hoping this will go fast, but i'm still missing vital parts for the bike, that if all goes well will be sorted next week.

like i said getting parts for this bike here in Iceland seems to be harder then killing a whale with a toothpick
