Picture reference?

can anyone direct me to a pic of the hose i keep hearing about cutting at 45degree angle? im dumb and confused

Are you referring to the carb vent tube? If so, it has been suggested for some to cut the end at a 45 degree angle if they are having engine issues at speed.

I only understand what I don't understand.

I don't have a photo, but there are two 5/16 ID hoses coming off the carbs that go to a T fitting, and then that one hose goes into the back of the right airfilter box.
