Boot was turned?

So a month ago I got my bike ready or so I thought.. Put gas in the tank fired it up everything is going good I start checking and I had massive amounts of gas coming from the underside but couldn't tell where. Checked today put carbs in and looked like the ought side boot was rotated.

I had no idea they were smaller on one side and bigger on another.. I'm assuming to compensate for the awkward position of the carbs. Could this be the reason for all the gas if I'm lucky or should I break the carbs open again?

The boot arrow /mark must line up with the mark (iirc.... it's a triangle) on the head @ 12 o'clock.

Wow the things your learn. Lol I never looked for the arrow and just jumping right in on the bike since I got it from earshave to carb rebuild I've had to learn a lot the hard way so I appreciate all the information.

Thanks all!
