Bike not starting after carb put on.

I posted yesterday on how to hook the tubes up on my carb.

I have the fuel lines and vacuum line attached to the petcock. I turned the valve to on.

I turn it on, attempt to start it, and give it a little bit of gas and it just doesn't start...

I'm not sure what I'm messing up... Any advice?

How long are you letting it roll over?

It took a good 20 or so seconds to get my bike started after I put the carbs back in.

Should I be rolling the throttle while I'm trying to start it? I'm nervous about possible flooding it...

Carbs dry, fuel lines dry-- takes time for the vacume to open pet-cock and get fuel to carbs---takes cranking!! With no fuel to carbs opening throttle does nothing. By the way what part of GA?

04-3,200 miles bought July 2011 with 928 miles. Loaded with acessories to many to list here, see my albums for more details! I also make a custom tank bib specific for the 750 if anyone is interested, ck my albums for some pics.

^^ what he said. I swore i replied a second time.

It took two solid long cranking attempts to get the first start going. I cranked 10 seconds, waited a sec, and cranked 10 more.. it started to go.. and finally it went and was happy.

I really think this vacume petcock throws a lot of people off, old school, turn petcock to ON you get fuel to carbs, not on this beast!!!
