Looking for 138 Main Jets.

Don't hate me, carb issues. lol

So I've been dealing with the carbs not being quite right for a while.
She is shaved with the mono filter under the tank. Not Pods.
Idle to almost 3/4 has good pull but as soon as I get at & above 3/4 throttle it bogs down & I loose power.

The main is a #140. I tried a slightly richer main & I got no difference so I'm looking to go smaller to try that.
So, I'm looking for a set of #138's. The stock ones are too lean. (132) Obviously.

So, if you have a set your not using & looking to find them a good home or want to swap for a set of 140's, let me know.

I'm also open for suggestions as "carbs" definitely are not my thing.

I thought 138's were stock...?

I just rejetted my carbs for the ear shave and took out 138's and 38's. One of the 4 got slightly worn on the top because it was stuck in the carb pretty well. Don't have them in front of me right now, but I can show pics and tell u which one tomorrow afternoon. If mine are 138's I'd be happy to send them along to you, as I shouldn't need them anymore. Just cover shipping for me and they're yours!

Yeah, 132 were in mine & that's what's listed in the repair manual as stock too. So, 1stVulcan, if you have 138 mains, I'd be happy to pay shipping.

But, I'm going to check on something tomorrow. (I thought of this after I posted) I've been doing a lot of reading about the carbs & jest & such & it turns out several Harleys use similar keihin carbs as our bikes.

I'm going to check their parts dept tomorrow as I've given up on my local Kaw dealer.

You could try running it without the filter- if it improves you are on the right track with smaller jets

I've gotten parts from the local harley dealer for our bikes a couple times. They actually had the brass elbow for the fuel lines on our carbs for $11.

And sorry Kanuck69 I've got 132's and 38's. I knew one of them was a 38...

Cool, let me know. I have one more local spot to try, then I'm out of luck locally.
