Carb sync WAY out

As I just bought this bike, I decided to check out some stuff. Built a carb balance tool for $15 and set out to hooking it up. To my surprise, the bike just wanted to suck all my oil out of one of the hoses! I hooked it up the opposite way but still the same result (so I knew my tool was good).

The result: about 5 turns increasing the rear cyl vacuum before it was dead on.

Anyone ever heard of carbs being that far out of sync? Should it have even ran? I rode it before that and it didn't seem like anything was that far out of whack. I did notice that the throttle wasn't as snappy as I would imagine, but still. No incredible lag or anything like that.

That's quite a bit out. You might want to run a couple tanks with some some seafoam in it and recheck.
Like buying anything else used, you never really know what to expect.

Synching CV carbs only effects idle. So would not effect the throttle.

Good suggestion to clean the carbs out and sync again, a dirty jet can make a huge difference when intake is that low.
