Earshave done.. Now wont come off Choke

Hey Guys-

Earshave is done... Bike for the most part started right out.. Sounded nice :-).. been running for 10 to 15 minutes... as soon as I try and move it off the choke it cuts off..

During the ear shave mind you I cleaned the entire carburetor using Roaches Video..

I followed Phil's instructions to the letter except I put my filter under my tank.
(Including changed the jets)

Also- During the process my throttle cable broke... I think its the return cable that Jerry says I take off anyhow.. So no big deal right?

Any direction will be great.. I will dive into the forum and find anything I can to help myself as well.

Thanks

Sonnds like throttling jets may have clogged, mine did the same, high rpm's did fine, try to move choke off it died. Choke is actually an enrichment (allows more fuel) at low rps.

thanks for the heads up brother.. I will def check that..

Just to clarify. I have (2) hoses attached to the carb that goes to the petcock (Gas)... The vacuum hose from the petcock to the carb... the throttle linkage and the chock cable..

Why do I feel like there was one more hose going somewhere?

There is onother nipple on the right side carb that I thick is also a vacume line that goes under the seat and to the charcol canister ( mine is a CA bike ), try capping that nipple off and see what happens. Is easy to get to on bike, could possibly be loosing vacume there.

Yes.. the right side vacuum port is capped off... Question.. What do you connect to the right side EMGO Filter?

I only have the left side EMGO filter hooked up.

Thank You

There is also 2 vacume lines that come off carbs (one each) that normally vent into the right ear, where did you rout these 2 lines? Again mine is a ca an connects to my charcol box

Do you think that would cause my issue?? Weather they are hooked up to the EMGO or not they should be able to do their job wouldnt you think?

The 2 vents prob not sitting with no air turbalance, what does it do at higher rpm's, can you ditch the choke?
