Still pulling carbs

I found the leak to my front carb. The front boot is disconnected. I have the carb disconnected on both boots with the rear one disconnected at the cylinder and the front one disconnected at the carb. Except the whole boot is disconnected before I touched it. I still can't get the carbs to come out.

Do I twist them out or hit them with a big hammer? Any suggestions?

Blessings!
Rich

How do you get the duct tubes out of the way? If I pull them loose from that surge tank how will ever get them back on? I now see why the ear shaving is a way to go.

Pull them out and when you put them back use some lube wd40 or something and push them in with a blunt instument you dont want to put a hole in them
