I hear ya LoneVulcan. Mine sat for 3 years. Runs better than it ever has since I bought it now and still looks sweet, but the past month... well, speedo gear drive, fuel gauge sender float unit, front tire (dry rot), ear shave (no mice, but I found a couple of peanuts in one), jammed carb floats and plugged jets, petcock valve (disintegrated screen) tank cleaning, major overall cleaning, cable lubing, 2 oil changes (because of the massive flooding from the stuck floats), can of top cylinder oil, can of carb cleaner, can of Seafoam, blood sweat and cursing... and all worth it.. All the best and I hope you can get some filters for this season.
