what is it

just had the tank of my 750 and found a little black box underneath it looks like the fuel gauge wires run into it but also looks like a rubber pipe should go on there aswell but isnt where should it run to and does it really need it cheers......mike

Yes, the black box is the bottom of the fuel gauge sender. Don't worrk about the other bit, there isn't a pipe on there. I have had my 93 VN750 since new & it never had a pipe on there.

When I had mine off the other day,I thought oh no,where is the line? I couldnt find anything,so I guessed it was nothing.
