new fuel tank

Hi i have just bought a new tank for my 1986 vn750,but my old one had 2 hoses on the back of the tank and the new one has none !! why is this and can i still use the tank ?? any help would be great thanks

Your existing tank in California emissions compliant as your new one is not. Yes, you can use your new tank but you will need to plug a few hoses or totally delete your emissions system.

Nice one mate thanks for replying,is the breather in the fuel cap enough for the bike to run ok then???
