Need help hooking up gas tank lines

Got an idea of which line is which, but there is one that i dont know where it goes... the one labeled "middle of the petcock" is 2 lines going into a 2-to-1 brass barb. Please take a look at the picture and let me know what i should do.
Thanks.

That is the "t" for your carb vents and the hose that attaches there is the one that ran to your right ear or air cleaner. Your two gas lines are right and the short hose with all the ????? is the line to the middle connection on the petcock It sticks straight down. (petcock is on bottom left side of fuel tank)

Can someone post a picture of where the hose coming from the barb would go? I checked my air cleaner boxes and intake tubes and cant find anywhere for a hose to go....

Look on the back of the air filter housing in the depression with the square air intake hole.

(Edit for clarity) There are two 1/2" diameter black plastic cylinders molded in as an integral part of the housing.

They are 1 1/2" long, with a slot about an 1/8" wide running the length of the cylinder. (one above and one below the square hole, on the circumference of the housing).

Take the end of the vent hose that fits into the slotted cylinder and cut it off at a 45* angle, with the cut facing the slot. This prevents plugging the hole if the hose gets pushed to the bottom of the cylinder, and leaves it vented to the atmosphere.

No that little hose should connect to the little tip right above it, that is a vent from the air box, the hole he is referring to I cant take a picture of because the air filters are removed from my bike. If you do a google image search for "vn750 air cleaner carb vent" the 4th pic shows the round hole above the square on the back of the air cleaner. Theres two round holes one above the square and one below you want to put the hose off the "t" fitting to the top hole on the back of air cleaner.

Use one of the two slotted cylinders on the rear of the ear. The top would probably be better, so that stuff can't fall into it. A common tip is to cut the end of the hose at a 45 angle so that if it gets pushed all the way in against the bottom, it won't block off the end of the hose.

The line just allows air to vent in and out of the float bowl as the fuel level goes up and down. It just needs to be tucked out of the airflow where a little air can freely flow to it. If it's out in the open, you can get weird things happening when you get up to speed and air is forced into the line (and therefore into the float bowl).

Thanks for the picture.

I noticed while looking in the repair manual i have my fuel lines reversed, does it really matter which one goes to which side of the petcock?
