Gas Cap Gasket/Seal

Looking for the main gas cap seal (2" dia.). Searched all over the net and these forums and can't find the seal. Parts breakdowns list the small o-rings, vent seal, and the gas cap, but not its main seal. A rebuild kit for the gas cap innards and its extraneous parts would be sweet.

All my rubber is hard and brittle and needs replacing.

Anybody know where to look or a suitable substitute??

I would go to a local business that deals in rubber (pads, gaskets, O-rings) and have them cut a replacement from the appropriate material. But you may not have access to such a place.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

I don't think it's just a flat round gasket, but think it has a ridge where it attaches to the center of the cap. I need to disassemble to be sure. Thinking about ordering a new cap from cheapcycleparts ($55). With all the other seals, washers and o-rings $85.
This bike is like a black hole. But I still love her. (Deja vu! I said that about my wife last week
