Alternative to ear shave

I Like the stock Air filter boxes(made some dress up changes). Not my Idea saw this on another Vn750, desided to try it.
The stock air fiilter box has a very small intake opening 1"1/4X1"1/4 approx.
Cut that out all the way around the indent. "Now you have more intake air"
I used the stock filters(thinking of K&N) but these worked.
Had to rejet, SIMPLE, Have a post on how to remove jets without removing carbs. Since I am at sea level #135 main & #38 pilot worked fine. Lots more
power and yes (KM) more big bore rumble.

Cost -Time and an Exacto knife
Jets $4.00 from a bike repair shop.

TRY IT YOU MAY LIKE IT!!!

I've been seriously thinking about shaving the ears just cause it makes things more simple with the carbs. However, I don't know of any shop around here that has jets, so I'd have to order them.
