Custom exhaust question.

i have a 1997 vn750 in stock mint condition. i just ordered new V&H pipes, im wondering if i have to do anything to the carbs? thanks in advance. im in south florida at sea level.

You should only need to re-jet if you get rid of the stock filters and put on those pod filters. Install the exhaust and go for a ride.

Putting these pipes on doesn't require re-jetting but you will hear more popping at decel so coastering it and turning the air/fuel screws out to 2.5 turns will stop the popping considerably.

01' VN750
Jardine cross over exaust
Kyriakin grips and foot pegs
Modified seat and backrest
Windshield
Luggage rack
Crash bar with Kyriakin pegs and extensions
Kumho 758 165/80-15 CT rear Dunlop 404 110/90-19 front
Coastered and air/fuel screws at 2.5 turns
Spline lube

93' VN750 getting TLC
Decals and mirrors
Coastered and air/fuel screws at 2.5 turns
ACCTs to MCCTs
Degoated with Harley mufflers
Duro 110-90-19 front 150-90-15 rear
Pick-up coils at .020
Spline lube

If the carbs have never been adjusted the screws are protected by a factory plug. Both plugs are just under the vent hose on each carb. There is a wright up about how to do this procedure in the versus threads in the carbs section/reduce popping threads.

Alright thanks for the help again. i can get an idea from the versus thread but some pictures would help to be exact, but ill just fit the new pipes on first and see what happens before i go altering the carbs.
