Help Please

So I recently bought a 1999 VN750 and it was mostly put back together. Engine was already on and once I put the tansmission back together I realized that the surge tank had been removed. The previous owner said he took it off to give the bike a little pick up. I am in dire need of tips on fixing my air cleaner problem. I am looking to avoid taking the engine out because that is a little out of my range of expertise and I am also cheap. Any good suggestions?

That set up that dariv is using works well. When I made it, I was in need of a cheap quick filter because I was in the middle of doing a lot of other mods and needed a filter I could take on and off quickly... but once I installed it... it stayed on for good, well almost for good... I am taking mine back off to finish it off, and make it look more professional. but for under 20 bucks you can't beat it.

A few weeks ago I did an AceMcgyver ear shave with great results. Lance recommended the proper jet for my set up. WOW what a difference! Here's the link for part one, there's a second part but I'm too lazy to look for it.
