sounds like the lock is jammed pb blaster might loosen the tumblers other wise u may need a lock pick kit and something strong to turn the lock ... a lock smith would probably be your best bet ... u sure u have the right key???

Is there a key stuck in the gas cap lock now? Or is the lock just stuck and the broken key removed?

There is a roll pin in the back of the gas cap that can be driven out with a drill bit.
You can then pull the cap up and back to get it out of the tank

I just bought some DuPont Teflon Multi-Use Dry Wax Lubricant at Lowes. It loosened up two frozen locks on my camper shell and made a couple of sticky padlocks smooth as silk. Might do the trick on your cap. About $5/can. Bought it to lube the chain on my other bike, but I'm finding lots of uses.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!
