Choke issues

When I engage the choke fully (pull it all the way back) on my 2005, the engine will start, but it doesn't run at a fast idle. RPMs seem to be about 1250 or so. I can tell it's running richer, but I can't get the RPMs up.

Can someone help me to adjust my choke to get some better fast idle when I first start?

Joe, it sounds like your choke isn't nececssarily working right. With the bike OFF, when you pull back the lever, can you see if BOTH plungers are moving UP? And evenly? There's a bar and spring mechanism that should connect both the plungers so that the cable affects them equally, but I have seen where folks have reassembled the carbs wrong and that piece isn't working quite right. It's possible, too, that you've got some crud in there that's keep the fuel from flowing as freely as it should with the choke on - how do you feel about a carb cleaning? lol
