idle issues after bike is warmed up

I just bought an 89 VN 750 to get running as sort of a new hobby. It had been sitting for over 3 years previous to me buying it. After changing all fluids, hoses...etc it seemed to jump to life. The issue now I'm having is that after being ridden for 20 minutes or so it starts idling badly and cutting out stops unless the throttle is applied. Any ideas what would cause this?

get familiar with seafoam gasoline additive and check your Idle speed after running some seafoam through your fuel system and make sure it is at spec

Have you adjusted the idle, via the black knob on the left side of the carbs?
Sure the choke is off?
