86 gas cap

I bought a 86 Vulcan 750 for cheap. They were gonna take the motor and scrap the rest so there is quite a few parts missing. One big one is the gas cap. I’ve found gas caps for $85 online but no key lock only a shell. Was wondering if any other caps would fit. Ex. Vn1500 or even the Honda fury’s. I can find them for $20 with key and all. Thanks.

Nope, gotta be a 750 gas cap. You might be better off seeing if someone is selling a tank for cheap with the gas cap, or getting a different tank altogether

well, you can use a big cork, but then need to figure a way to properly vent it, since the vent is incorporated into the cap.

Okay, thanks a ton. do you know if all of the 750 caps are interchangeable? Would like too keep it semi original because I like the red stripes but I’m missing everything. Cap, sending unit, and the petcok.
