Contact points question

I need to set my contact points to the .020 but something I need to know before I open that cover. Do I need to drain the oil? Or is the oil level low enough to make those adjustments without draining the oil?

Thank you for your help!
Richard

There is some oil there, it won't all drain out, but a little. I think some people have leaned the bike over to the right side and did it without losing any.

put on center stand, very little, if any will leak out. most of what comes out will be what is splashed on the inside of the case and cover
