One too many parts left!

Question. I removed my battery box and painted it (acid damage). I just installed the box, MF battery, and I've got a small rubber strap with metal loops on each end left. I can't figure where this thing goes and can't see it in my manual. I suspect it is a secondary attachment for one of the units that mounts to the battery box. If someone knows where this thing belongs, please let me know. Thanks.

P.S. Please don't tell me it goes on the bottom of the box; everything is installed and Loctited in!

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Your flasher unit mounts to the left rear of the battery box with it. Look for the tab.

Thanks, antiq! I'll try to get a light down there and see where to hook it.

My flasher hangs on the battery box by a rubber sleeve that fits over a metal tab. Still can't see anywhere to attach the metal ends of the strap. The strap is about 4' long.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

You sure it doesn't go in the tool box?

Thanks guys! Guess when I installed the luggage rack I included the band with all the stuff from the battery box. Then when I but the electrical stuff together forgot where it came from.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

You're not the first to do that kind of thing, if that helps.

Yes, Doug, it does. What really hurts is the fact that my past history assures me that it won't be my last time!

Don`t worry about it too much, until you have to write yourself a note while standing by the bike, so you remember what you want when you get all the waaayyy over to the toolbox!!
