Replacing stator with Tuxedo mod

Looking at this now, how am I supposed to cleanly remove the stator wires and grommet, let alone reinstall the new one? It's completely wedged between the left inner cover and crank case.

I imagine I'll be wrestling with that for hours.

the rubber grommet with wires pulls out freely with very little effort once the stator housing has been modified... the PITA is the Pickup Coil wires, I ended up cutting them inside the housind and made an internal connector that sits between the stator cover and the new Tuxedo Plate. On reassembly, I used Black RTV to seal the Grommet.

Permatex Grey

The permatex grey gasket maker is great for this grommet. It is oil resistant and blends into the casing color pretty well. Put in on in layers...letting it dry thoroughly between coats. Good stuff.
