No power when clutch in

Can't quite figure out what's going on here! Suddenly my bike won't start while the clutch is in. While the clutch is in, I have 0 power. If I let the clutch out (and am in neutral) the bike will start no problem.

What would cause my power to disappear while clutch is in?

it's most likely either the sensor on the clutch lever or the kickstand sensor

I don't think it's the kick stand sensor because it I can start it by releasing the clutch, not doing anything with the kick stand. I took the clutch sensor out and made sure it was seated properly but still an issue.

When the clutch lever is released the starter circuit looks for ground via the neutral switch. When the clutch lever is pulled, the neutral switch is ignored, and a different path to ground is used to allow the bike to start. If there is a break in this wire that would describe your problem.

Interestingly, the wire you're interested in shares a ground with the horn before joining up with the rest of the wiring harness. Can you honk?
If you can honk, look for a break right at the clutch lever. If you can't honk, look at the wiring bundle for all whole left hand control. (its just the yellow/black wire you need to check).

Very interesting! Thank you. I just went and tried but it was working perfectly with the clutch pulled in. Damn intermittent issues! As soon as get this problem again (which has been more often than not) I'll try the horn.

Rode the bike A LOT this weekend, didn't act up once. I guess it healed itself! I know what to look for if this comes back. Thanks for the help!
