Stock plug wires OK with Iridium plugs?

Can stock plug wires be used with the recommended Iridium plugs DPR7EIX-9? I am confused about the whole resistance in the plug along with plug wire resistance thing from other threads.

Absolutely.....DPR7EIX-9 are the BEST way to go....
New wires/wire ends are available on many part sites (if needed)....
I went with "Ron Ayers" ~~ $20.00 ? If I remember correctly---54" of wire is what is all you need for our VN750's (build your own.......easy-peasey).
enjoy

I used stock plugs for the first thousand miles or so....nothing wrong with them.
Irrirdiums are a bit more superior.

So I finally bought these DPR7EIX-9 plugs and am totally confused as the stock wires definitely will not fit over the obviouslt larger/wider terminals of the new plugs.

Is there a trick? A tool to widen the ‘socket’ portion inside the boot? Some adapter for terminals?

I must be missing something ridiculously obvious

The new plug has a threaded fitting on the top, unscrew it to expose the threaded stud, stock cap will fit right.

You're welcome!

You're not the first, there's a thread with pics around here somewhere.
