Are CHINA made AGM or "YTX14AH-BS" batteries all junk?

I've read the verses and understand the many threads on why AGM batteries are the obvious go-to.

My questions is is everyone running USA made or TRUE Yuasa brand etc., or are you guys doing ok with the amazon and ebay re-labeled or imported ones with the same specs that say made in China or similar? There;s two obvious price brackets. I assume some that go to ebay are getting chinese.

Thinking about this specific one a member here bought (guessing chinese again?) $41 shipped.
Kawasaki 750CC Vulcan VN750-A Vulcan, 1986-2005 Motorcycle Battery (12V 14Ah)

This TMS labeled tyx14ahl is $42 but clearly chinese: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A24FJG9QJIEUE2

2002 vn750
AGM battery, Shinko 230 tires oversized front
Ear shaved - k&n pods, drilled clutch basket
MCCT
40/138 jetting

If I can split a case and make it work - you can too!

I run true Yuasa batteries ($70) in my VN750. They last at least 7 years, can sit months without a charger and I believe that it was manufactured in the USA (Laureldale, PA plant). Date stamp it when you first put the electrolyte in and replace it 6 years from that date, and you will never be stranded due to a dead battery. I would not touch the China brands, especially in the VN750 with its tough to replace stator. Spend the extra $30 on a good battery.

That amazon battery is a gel cell, not an AGM. And if you're ever adding electrolyte, it's a wet cell, not a gel or AGM.

I'm running a Magnapower AGM I bought at Advance in 2012, around $80. Great battery so far, going on four years old.

Babied it the first couple of years, but it sat in the cold all this winter with no charger. Volt meter read full charge and the bike started right up after four months or so.

edited out wrong info, got my links mixed up.

Skeptical about that Amazon battery being an AGM .... Both cannot be true.

Autozone carries them local. $80 and a $10 core discount for trading in an old battery. Not sure how close your local Autozone might be, but i can count two within a mile from here. I gave them the rotten YUASA core with the dry cells. Pulled it out right there in their parking lot.

BEWARE though: Check the shelf life and make sure it's not been sitting unattended for more than 30 days. If an AGM drains by natural reaction it will never charge again to capacity. They need to be "touched" to capacity at least once every 30 days or so.

Fortunately, that only cost me an extra trip to Autozone and they replaced it no sweat.

It's ok, I edited my post before I saw yours.
Not sure they are both AGM though.

I thought less babysitting was part of the point of AGM? Getting old stock is always a risk especially ordering online.

It seems hard to consistently find stock in some stores thats not over a month old (at least my local options)
