Those are hook up's for accessories, I may be mistaken but they are not switched.
What ever you hook up there will be on all the time unless you put a switch in line.

Sounds right to me.
Also, be aware that you don't want to use a lightbar that's too powerful (over 30 watts per light).

Good to know about the wires. Gonna fab up a mount for the radar detector that's in my truck. Nice stretch of road by the house I keep finding myself going a bit over the speed limit.

I used a relay. I came dirrectly off of the bat for the lights. I activate the relay from the high beam side of the lights. I also have a switch to cut the lights off when not needed.
I have two 35 watt bulbs (the lowest I could find), they do better with the electic system than the original 50 watts did.

now heres a good question for you guys....are those wires also on a relay or sumthin like the other headlight wires or should i hook them up to a relay so i dont short out the bike in the case i decide to hook up some illegal lighting in the future.... my fiancee wants to paint her bike a metalic emarld green (close to the honda vtx 1300c and 1800 c) and i think i might install some neon LED's after that to kick it up a notch... nice and non legal the way i like it!!! hahaha.... i will end up putting a switch but if they are hooked up to power already and i dont forsee a lightbar in the near future i think thats the way im going to go...

No relays; no switches. There are 2 sets of acc lugs on the bike. One set in the headlight bucket, and on set behind the right side cover near the RLU and starter solenoid. Both come straight off of the 10A fuse in the JB (3a and 3b on the 8-pin connector; White/Blue wire).

Bigg - The "paint the gauges" maintenance item was mistakenly left out of the manual but mine sure needs it. How did you do it and/or what should I definitely NOT do? Realize it's not electrical related but hadn't seen it mentioned specifically elsewhere. If it is, would someone kindly direct me in the right direction in the Forum?
