newbie barstar's freebie is running boys and girls

Hey ....I unhooked the fuel hoses from the petcock and filled the carbs with gumout and let it set all night and she fired up today ...first time it has run in 2 [email protected]# still won't idle real good ...so I loaded some 93 Sunoco with Seafoam and am running it a good portion of the night!!! nextup.....Stator ...thanks for the positive support everyone...........Barstar.......

Battery is charging !!!!!!!!!Dies overnight?????short

ran the bike for 3 hours last night and bright headlight turns starts crisp.......battery died through the night!!!!!!!!the plug connection on the R&R look funky...

One thing about running the bike for 3 hours.. You should have an idle of 2800-3000 rpms in order to charge the battery. If it idled at the standard 1000 rpms, that might be what caused the drain (Unless of course you know that you have a bad leg on the stator)
A bike can run with two of the three legs good, it just won't charge the battery.
One of the reasons is it nice to have a voltmeter on the bike. You can tell instantly if you are charging or not.

Don't like 2 carbs need one!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a real innovative circle of guru/friends...we think we can attach a big Mikuni to this 750 with a little midnight oil!!!!!!!but the charging is first.........the stator is charging but it discharges setting????got to be a short to ground I will find it.........what a stupid place for a R&R.........Japenese people are pretty sharp though........coool bike......barstar out::
