Angry Startor problem

STATOR STATOR NOT STARTER..After Taking my 750 Vulcan motor apart, put 4 used cam,s in it,because it had flat spots on them, fixed the transmission, shifter linkage, greased spline, marbled pollution crap,Put on manual chain tentioners.,cleaned the carbs and put it all back together, the stator is,nt pushing the correct amount of volts to start the motor. so he did the coil mod. still not charging enough to start motor. The bike never saw rain ,was always parked in a garage. for 10 days it sat in sulpher springs in 5 days of rain, cold weather. and now the stator is not charging battery.. It work fine before dis assembly. The stator had been fixed before. will the 2 wire mod work after doing the coil mod? will my head light work? For another $300 he said he,d fix it. plus another $80 for gas. I,m probably gonna carry a car battery around, to jump start it. I feel that this bike is just going to give me problem after problem. 48000 miles.

Pit or trey did the work, pretty sure he checked that. Taking interstate battery back to dealer to check and charge, 4 mo,s old still under warranty. Bike starts right up with jump off car battery, car not running. Drove bike around the block,at 20 mph. after Pit fixed it, runs good.Shifts ,seems faster, Idles at 1100 rpm. Hopefully it a bad cell in battery.

Should start with charged battery with bad stator.will run till battery is dead.I'd get a hold of a voltage meter and check

^ What Doc said. Bad charging system won't charge, but with a good battery it should start. Bad battery won't hold a charge, but with a good charging system it should keep running. Isolate and determine which it is or if it's both.

The R/R is easier and cheaper to check and replace. Start there. You just need to borrow a DMM. If you plan to do any of your own work on vehicles or even own a motorcycle, I'd buy one.

Are you sure all the connections are good? You said the charging system was working before disassembly.

had battery fully charged, starts runs for a while than stops. Think I got Water in gas, runs ****ty. trey said the stator is bad, he did a coil relay mod on it. said its pushing 12.5 volts.. Will Check at Idel and 3000 rpm. again, reclean connections, drain gas tank, add sea foam. Need to learn how to repair stator Myself. Glen
