Speedo Question

Is there anyway to get the gut out of the housing and put it into another housing. When my bike fell off the trailor it broke my speedo and tach. I got another speedo from ebay but it has since broken beyound repair. I have been looking at my old one and the inside is just fine it's just the housing that is bad. The one on the bike now is bad inside but has a good housing. Is there anyway to take this part out and put into the other housing? I have been looking and taking screws out of the original from the bike but can't seem to get it to come apart.

Thanks for you help in advance.

The Speedo is sealed to prevent people from messing with the Odometer.
You may be able to do it but it also may break.

Oddly I just did this with my broken one because I was curious. You can take it apart, there is a metal ring between the plastic and front protion, it's bent around a lip and if you bend the metal up on one side you can take them apart.
