You may be right, and I'm not able to study the diagrams at the moment, or review this thread.

I already had the Blue Wire mod done when I did the Two-Wire.

My position has been to take as much away from the JB as possible, I would sell the bike before keeping the headlight relay.

Keeping the JB relays in operation is just asking for trouble later.

Yes, connect the spliced wires back to the yellow/black connection on the JB.
I heartily agree with Spockster that the blue-wire mod is the better alternative. ESPECIALLY when chasing gremlins, since these relays are known failure points that can cause grounding issues.

Doing the blue wire mod. when moving the blue wire out of the plastic connection is it best to push it out with a small screw driver or can it be pulled out successfully? Is cutting it and sealing the ends an option? thank you.

There's a tiny lock tab on the copper spade. I use a sewing needle to push the tab, then the spade slips right out. Paper clip was too large.
