wacky tach

ok, starting to get random/intermittent tach issue.. it will go from normal reading and spike UP toward or even past redline, or even hit the stop.

NO change in engine rpm, or missing or anything else... is it just going horseshait, or is there another cause.

I would check the wires going to the front coil for corrosion or a bad connection.

Check your battery terminals too, pull the seat and make sure they're tight.
