wire placement?

Ok got a new r/r and actually found a new replacement 6 pin connector. Moved the r/r and comparing wiring placement in the connector and images I can find online have me confused about wire positioning in the connector! I am cool w the the stator wires it's the ground, battery and monitor wire and their proper position in the connector or does it even matter??

It matters...

Only one I remember is the brown was in the middle (double check that). Should be some pics here somewhere.

Someone will post the answer soon I bet. Just wanted to post that it does matter where those wires go.

If you bought a Mosfet regulator you do not use the brown wire. Just put a wire nut on and tape it.

Had the bike looked at locally before I found you all and recommended a r/r from Rick's and it looks like oem part so I found a connector just need proper wire placement?

Might be looking at mine in a little while and I can check, if you still need it. Have a mosfet but the stock plug is still dangling somewhere.

Waiting to hear back from someone wanting a pattern for an r/r bracket I made. Could send one to Crowley so he can start making those too.

Wink

Lol, have my side cover off and came back in to get a flashlight, stuffed that old plug back where I can't see it.
