ignition switch

I just lost my key and bought a new ignition switch but my is a 5 wire and the switch is a 3 wire what do I need to make it work

Did you purchase the new switch retail or private sale as it seems to be the wrong one as KM posted? If you can not exchange it then check to see if it actually has extra positions (not just extra terminals) other than what the original one has. With that information I am sure one of our more electrical minds here can come up with a proper solution.
