HID Wirring

HI again. Well I was just wondering if anyone who installed HID headlights into there bike had lengthened the wires. Once I relocated the R/R, I decided that I could place the HID balast there underneath the battery Case. Now all I need to do is lengthen the three wires coming from the HID conversion Bulb to the balast harness. what would the best way to go about doing this? Thank Again!!

Solder a spine in line?

Is there something unusual about the wires?

Aren't you concerned about the heat from the GB detoriating the ballasts ???

yes that is a concern of mine. However I am not so sure where else I should put the ballast. Another concern that I had was also if I do add wire extentions, would the solder be ok or would I have to get connectors and crimp them on??

Solder would be superior. Crimp connections often fail in high vibration enviornments. Solder, done correctly, is stronger then the wire.

Some members here had hooked up HID's so them may chime in soon as where they hosted the ballast... IIRC Diaana was one of them
