I just recently got my 89 vulcan, and had to order gauges, previous owner removed speedo and tach. So when I got my new ones installed them but I have a slight problem now They sent entire cluster, with 3 pin connectors, a 9 pin a 6pin and a 4 pin however I can't find a 4 pin connector in the bike harness Can anyone help?

I just went and checked out my 89 Thinking I might be able to help you out.My harness runs from the guages to the headlight housing were they connect to the main harness. But the pin connectors are different I have a 9,5 and 2 set up on mine.If they are not in the headlight housing, have you checked to see if the P.O. pulled them back up under the gas tank or something like that?

Sounds like you got the guages/harness for the earlier bikes; I think the 4 pin is for the speedo lights and distance sensor for the turn signal cancelling setup, if it's coming out of the speedo. The two-pin would be just speedo lights.

Did you order by year model, or by the VIN number?
