I know I'm a sad individual with nothing better to do on a Sunday evening, but I've been trying to familiarize myself with this electrical system. In the cct diagrams, I've discovered a starter lockout switch, but I can't find it's location anywhere in the manual. Nor can I find any description of how or why it would operate. Can anybody enlighten me?
Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean that they are NOT all out to get you.

The starter lockout prevents you from starting until safe conditions exist. In gear, you have to have the clutch pulled, etc.
edit-it interrupts ground in the starter circuit.

So, are you saying that the starter lockout switch is in fact the switch that is operated by pulling the clutch lever. I'm looking at the cct diagram, and that would make sense.
