Battery flat, r/r burnt pin

While out on a ride, my battery went flat, engine died, game over.
I got the bike home, had a look at the r/r, and found a burnt pin. The one with the yellow/black wire. Does this sound familiar? It's simple enough to repair the wire/pin, but will my r/r recover? The pin on the R/r looks really black and nasty.

Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean that they are NOT all out to get you.

The yellow/black on the VN has haunted me for years....too many things tied into it.....its ridiculous....all because of "extra grounds"....(goes all the way up to the headlamp)...

...anyway....I suggest hooking up with a MOSFET RR...Slim has a thread here with compatibles listed....the RR is important...VERY important...get a good one....I suggest gettin one over the amps of stock, in case you ever want to add things....

x2 on the MOSFET upgrade.

That and the TPE stator has made my charging system super happy. I don't even stress about it now.

The "ricks hotshot" regulators are also MOSFET now, so they're a decent direct-plug replacement.

Thanks for the advice.
I'll be seeking out a replacement when I get time.
