Pickup Coil

Can someone tell me which position the pickup coils go? I'm talking about the ones inside the side case. I'm thinking mine might be installed wrong and want to verify that and trace the wires to the IC ignitor. Is the top one for the front cylinder and the bottom one for the rear?

Would the bike start/run with them swapped? It's been a pain to start and did quite a bit of troubleshooting but when it does start it stays running.

Actually it can... Not well and not for to long, maybe a few seconds at a time. If you disconnect a ignition coil the bike will run on on cylinder way out of time
