Speedo & Tach lights not working

Folks,

2 newbie questions:
1. just got my bike back this evening from a local service guy (new bike for me, no service records, had him change fluids - Rotella T and coolant; also put in new plugs); noticed this evening when I started up the bike in the dark that the lights for the speedo and tach were out - which they weren't when I dropped the bike off. Anything he might have done in the routine work that may have affected the bulbs?

2. where are the fuses located? Would like to check them out.

Thank you in advance!

I think (it's early yet) that there are plugs from the speedo and tach that go into the wiring harness - probably up behind the headlight. I'll see if I can get a microfiche image and edit this post. The fuses are located on the left side of your battery case (as you sit on the bike) - it's a small black box that is held on by an upper and lower bracket; the plugs enter the backside of the box.
